Attitude (7)

Topic: Attitude

If any thing can get you in more trouble it is your Attitude. Almost always, you have a choice as to what attitude to adopt. There is nothing in any normal work situation that dictates you must react one way or another. If you feel angry about something that happens, or even happy, sad ect; for instance, that's how you choose to feel. Nothing in the event itself makes it absolutely necessary for you to feel that way. It is your choice. And since you do have a choice, most of the time you'll be better off if you choose to react in a positive rather than a negative way.

You can become a master of control of your Attitude by the use of cognitive thinking. You control how you feel and act by having control. Not by letting other control you by their actions or words. The biggest of any Attitude and cognitive action is JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS. Now how many of you have jumped the gun on something, which later bit in in the but ???

Anyways no matter what your attitude is it will effect the way people see you as a person. You control your attitude.

"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort." ~Herm Albright, quoted in Reader's Digest, June 1995

Dependability (6)

Topic: Dependability (6)

Dependability can mean something different for each one of us. An employer looks for people that are dependable when hiring new staff. These people would be someone that is known to be on time get work done on time, and keep his word to what he says. One form of dependable is trustworthiness; the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct quality of being solid and reliable financially or factually or morally it is someone that has the quality of never making an error.

I think the many of us as students can understand what the meaning is. Dependability is a key thing that we as students need. You need to be dependable with completing homework, coming to school on time and even enrolling in classes.

Dependability can cover all parts of your life from an relationship with a friend boy friend and/or wife/husband. You can even go as fair as dependability can mold who you are by the way people think of you.

Just think about this Honor, hard Work, integrity, Dependability started a revaluation which in turn was all it took to start a nation ...... When you call for help you depend on help coming ....... check out this you Tube video think it wraps up the last three assessments in one.

Honesty (5)

Blog Topic: 5- Honesty

“It is hard to believe that a man is telling the truth when you know that you would lie if you were in his place. “ ~Henry Louis Mencken. Telling the truth or what for this writing assignment we are calling honesty is many things. Honesty involves answering a question directly without lying or attempting to deceive. A person’s character can be defined by one’s honesty. Honesty is morality and national formations might be so characterized, but so too might be many family structures. What is ok for someone is not for you or me.

Honesty is what your character is built on. The wonderful thing about character, honesty and integrity, which are intimately related, is that they're one of the few things in life that no one will ever be able to forcefully take away from you. Your choices are your own. Even if someone can take your life, they can't force you to make a choice that you believe is wrong.

I think one should live his or her life with integrity and be honesty with what you do and say to people. What is honesty ? it is consistency of your actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions. I think that we all would want to be known as an honest person.

Planning (4)

Topic: Planning

Planning is a key ingredient for many things. For one reason to get things well organized you should plan things. Some things like birthday parties, schooling, class homework and daily activities are just to name a few. I think it is important to plan things out. If you plan things out it makes things go so much easier when you don’t have to rush. One can even go as far as getting someone to help you out with planning; such as a weddings planner.

I think that “planning” links closely with last week’s assignment of goals. Goal setting is an important part of the career planning process or any process. Goals need to be planed out. I find that the best way to plan something is to just start writing down notes of what you want to do then you can put all your thoughts together in the planning process, then you can set the goals.

Many people use planning. Even the Government uses planning. Many cities have dictator planning; even schools have drills. Which would be planning for if something did happen. Which turns into a goal of being ready for anything that may come your way. “Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part”. “It pays to plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.” – unknown

Also if anyone can help out my children are having a school fundraiser.

This event is to help raise funds for activities on campus, field trips, and class room supplies. Please help by giving your support and buy an item or two.

Goals (3)

Weekly Posting by Robert Alexander
Re: Goals

Well today is my birthday (September 05) so happy birthday to me. Don’t know why I had to say that but I did. I’m happy to report that I just completed essay one. Why do I bring this up ? good question I could ask. Well it was one of my weekly goals which was to complete the essay and assignment. What a week.

Now off to the assignment. This semester I’m hoping to complete all the classes needed to graduate. All I need is to complete this English-101 class and Math-095. After completing the two classes I will get three degree’s first from SBVC in Liberal Arts; Social Behavioral Sciences, second from SBVC in Administration of Justice, and the third from Crafton Hills in Sociology. Then my goal is to start Law School in January-2012. But Law school is all up to if I run for Congress this coming next year election and/or win.

It is also good to have goals. Back in Fall, 2006 I started my goal of wanting to achieve education and get a degree. I have had my struggles along the way with losing my job as a result to an Army injuries being more engraved, my marriage leading to divorce, and finding new things in life that I have a passion for (Leadership/government/polities/helping people). My goal is to help people and bring free education to all that desires to have it. Maybe someday this dream will come. We need to embrace the children (K-12) and college students for they are the future of this country.

“Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom. “ -George Washington “Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation.” - JFK
